Costin Gheorghiță took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aurel Cotuțiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laurențiu Călimanescu in the 10th minute of play forced UMF IASI's goalkeeper Mugur Ailenei to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dorin Nae kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Dragoş Alucusan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A hard shot 18 in the game by Sorin Timofte from a close distance when the talented Costin Gheorghiță managed to make a qualified save. -PSC- CFR Pascani's players were relieved. Aurel Cotuțiu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When the match had gone on for 22 minutes, Aurel Cotuțiu took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Costin Gheorghiță to make any attempt to save it. Aurel Cotuțiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Costin Gheorghiță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mugur Ailenei made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eliodor Zăgănescu in the 32nd minute of play. 33 minutes into the match, -PSC- CFR Pascani's goalkeeper Costin Gheorghiță had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sorin Timofte. -PSC- CFR Pascani's Costin Gheorghiță played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Aurel Cotuțiu in the 35th minute of play. Sorin Timofte could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 37th minute of the match, but Costin Gheorghiță made a huge save. In the 44th minute of the match, Aurel Cotuțiu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Costin Gheorghiță saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Costin Gheorghiță made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurel Cotuțiu in the 48th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Laurențiu Călimanescu to make the kick off. Sorin Timofte fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Costin Gheorghiță having to interfere. In the 54th minute Aurel Cotuțiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Costin Gheorghiță saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 55 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Aurel Cotuțiu sped through -PSC- CFR Pascani's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Costin Gheorghiță. A collision led to UMF IASI getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Dorin Nae hit a great ball. After 61 minutes of play, UMF IASI's Sorin Timofte made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Costin Gheorghiță was left in no man's land by his defense there! Sorin Timofte received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Costin Gheorghiță tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 66 minutes into the match, -PSC- CFR Pascani's goal looked a bit too open when Cristian Teodorescu came free, but Costin Gheorghiță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 67 minutes, Aurel Cotuțiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UMF IASI's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurel Cotuțiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Costin Gheorghiță showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorin Nae in the 69th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 74 minutes, the score became 6-0 when Sorin Timofte sped through -PSC- CFR Pascani's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Costin Gheorghiță. 78 minutes into the match, -PSC- CFR Pascani's goal looked a bit too open when Sorin Timofte came free, but Costin Gheorghiță reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dorin Nae sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. UMF IASI walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
