The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 9th minute Diamantino Golem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Pora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mircea Magheran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Casio Banat Vest's Felix Mavrodin got control of the ball when Cristinel Pupăzan tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Mircea Magheran who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sportul Studentesc's Filip Pora was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 19th match minute, Casio Banat Vest was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gheorghe Novacovici to maneuver through the defense. Mircea Magheran succeeded in the game's 20th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. 24 minutes in the game, Cristinel Pupăzan fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Felix Mavrodin having to interfere. 25 minutes into the match, Sportul Studentesc's goal looked a bit too open when Bart-Jan Maerschalk came free, but Filip Pora reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

If Mircea Magheran had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee ignored Sportul Studentesc's protests and gave Teofil Bejgier a yellow card for diving instead. With his leg Filip Pora managed to avoid a goal in the 67thth minute, when Casio Banat Vest's Mircea Magheran fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Sportul Studentesc's Filip Pora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart-Jan Maerschalk in the 68th minute of play. When the match had been going on for 72 minutes, Casio Banat Vest's Mircea Magheran got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Filip Pora. After a rather tough play, Casio Banat Vest's Olgierd Ankiewicz got a free kick in the 77th minute. When Ubaldo Primo came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Sportul Studentesc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubaldo Primo couldn't finish the play. Sportul Studentesc's Filip Pora played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bart-Jan Maerschalk in the 82nd minute of play. A collision led to Casio Banat Vest getting a freekick after 83 minutes play. Olgierd Ankiewicz hit a great ball. Bart-Jan Maerschalk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Filip Pora tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diamantino Golem sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Casio Banat Vest's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
