Spectators: 7261 (Terracing: 5761, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ferdinand Tătaru took the kick off in the first half of the match. Cristinel Pupăzan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 8th playminute. Teofil Bejgier recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dragheasa's Mugur Burdea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Dragheasa from getting a goal against them. Filip Pora took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ferdinand Tătaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Horia Ciompec hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Cristinel Pupăzan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Mugur Burdea when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The supporters of Sportul Studentesc booed when Dragheasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dan Duca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cristinel Pupăzan in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mugur Burdea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The long shot by Ubaldo Primo in the 27th minute really tested Mugur Burdea's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. When Cristinel Pupăzan came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Sportul Studentesc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristinel Pupăzan couldn't finish the play. Nicolae Cârju sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cristinel Pupăzan in the 38thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Mugur Burdea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After a defensive mix-up in Dragheasa's zone, Vintilă Ştati stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mugur Burdea came out of the goal and Vintilă Ştati tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 41st minute, Cristinel Pupăzan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sportul Studentesc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Filip Pora showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ferdinand Tătaru in the 46th minute of the match. In the 48th minute Valeriu Dragomiroiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filip Pora saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cristinel Pupăzan to strike the kick off in the second half. If Cristinel Pupăzan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 56th match minute, Dragheasa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudiu Muncelean to maneuver through the defense. The audience was convinced that Cristinel Pupăzan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mugur Burdea was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Claudiu Muncelean hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Ubaldo Primo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 61st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Mugur Burdea. Dragheasa's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Ayhan Tanyolaç fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mugur Burdea having to interfere. With a little luck, Sportul Studentesc's Filip Pora got control of the ball when Horia Ciompec tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Teofil Bejgier came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Sportul Studentesc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Teofil Bejgier couldn't finish the play. In the 87th match minute, Dragheasa was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferdinand Tătaru to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th match minute, Sportul Studentesc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vintilă Ştati to maneuver through the defense. 92 minutes into the game, Ferdinand Tătaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dragheasa's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Sportul Studentesc the free kick. In the 95thth minute of the game Cristinel Pupăzan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Dragheasa's Mugur Burdea was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. There was no doubt that Sportul Studentesc were the better team. Sportul Studentesc's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
