Tehnică Cluj-Napoca's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cristi Angelescu who took care of the corner kick. Cristi Angelescu made a great header on Fotbal Club Munchen's corner, it was just that Univ. Tehnică Cluj-Napoca's Iustin Erbașu managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 9th minute, George Isaia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Univ. Tehnică Cluj-Napoca fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. After 35 played minutes Fotbal Club Munchen got a freekick which was hit by Iustinian Albeanu. The supporters of Univ. Tehnică Cluj-Napoca booed when Fotbal Club Munchen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emil Năstase didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edwin 雷沙 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iosif Bleoancă, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgil Blăniță kicked well hit freekick during the 43rd minute of the match. 46 minutes into the match, Univ. Tehnică Cluj-Napoca's goalkeeper Iustin Erbașu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Mihail Stoicescu. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mihail Stoicescu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. George Isaia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edwin 雷沙 having to interfere. A collision led to Univ. Tehnică Cluj-Napoca getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Remus Chinezu hit a great ball. Ilie Atanasiu hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Edwin 雷沙 took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from George Isaia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mihail Stoicescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edwin 雷沙 was a little too slow when George Isaia got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 82nd minute. The score was now 3-2. In the 86th minute, Mihail Stoicescu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If George Isaia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There was no doubt that Fotbal Club Munchen were the better team. Fotbal Club Munchen's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
