Hamdullah Özbilen charged in rather forcefully in the 21st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hamdullah Özbilen the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Balacia's Ion Crivoi got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Fabian Turcescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Şoimu in the 23rd minute of play. Eric Zburliş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ülo Lehemets having to interfere. After 29th play minutes Eric Zburliş shot 1-2, a short shot which went by Ülo Lehemets and just under the crossbar into goal. In the 33rdth minute of the game Eric Zburliş who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Balacia's Ülo Lehemets was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After having played for 35 minutes, Ion Crivoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Balacia's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ion Crivoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Fabian Turcescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ionică Şoimu in the 37th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Zburliş in the 38th minute of play forced Balacia's goalkeeper Ülo Lehemets to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Balacia's zone, Eric Zburliş stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ülo Lehemets came out of the goal and Eric Zburliş tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Eric Zburliş got free in front of the goal in the 42nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ülo Lehemets was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. When Martin Banica fell near the penalty area in the 43rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Balacia's protests and gave Martin Banica a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of fc.zarnesti.brasov booed when Balacia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Martin Banica didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Ion Crivoi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 47 minutes into the match, fc.zarnesti.brasov's goal looked a bit too open when Francisc Joja came free, but Fabian Turcescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 53 played minutes, Balacia's Cristinel Podgoreanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fabian Turcescu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Balacia reached it. Fabian Turcescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ion Crivoi in the 54th minute of play. 55 minutes into the game, Răzvan Tatu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. fc.zarnesti.brasov's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Balacia the free kick. Fabian Turcescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionică Şoimu, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ion Crivoi in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fabian Turcescu saved fc.zarnesti.brasov from getting behind. In the 65th minute, Francisc Joja left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Balacia fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ion Crivoi in the 87th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fabian Turcescu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 93 minutes into the match, fc.zarnesti.brasov's goal looked a bit too open when Ionică Şoimu came free, but Fabian Turcescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Ionică Şoimu made a precise shot to the right of Fabian Turcescu. fc.zarnesti.brasov's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-4.
