Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Maxim Lechințan got the match started through his kick off. Dacian Măguran made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luca Socoriceanu in the 5th minute of play. After 11 played minutes Arsenal got a freekick which was hit by Sebastian Blajovici. In the 15th minute Panait Petrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vali Calomfirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sandu Jdeica during the 20th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sandu Jdeica kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. Arsenal's defense didn't have a chance, in the 25th minute, when Edgar Huțanu scored to the left of an out of position Dacian Măguran, making the score, 1-0. In the 28th minute, Panait Petrin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Vali Calomfirescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Panait Petrin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Vali Calomfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goalkeeper Dacian Măguran had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Huțanu. bobipiciu's Vali Calomfirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxim Lechințan in the 38th minute of play. Dacian Măguran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sandu Jdeica, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Panait Petrin took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Vali Calomfirescu. Vali Calomfirescu dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Arsenal's Sever Muslea quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Rareș Popoiu, made in the 47th minute of the game. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luca Socoriceanu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute of the game Aron Stoicănescu made a throw-in which Nicodim Macavei played forward. Dacian Măguran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luca Socoriceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. Sebastian Blajovici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Vali Calomfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicodim Macavei's late challenge caught a Arsenal's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 61st minute, Maxim Lechințan made a precise shot to the right of Vali Calomfirescu. bobipiciu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. 74 minutes into the match, Arsenal's goal looked a bit too open when Luca Socoriceanu came free, but Dacian Măguran reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 75th minute of the match Costin Bianu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vali Calomfirescu showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Arsenal's Costin Bianu slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vali Calomfirescu. That made the score 1-4 after 81 minutes of play. Sandu Jdeica got his second yellow card in the match during the 84th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. A collision led to bobipiciu getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Sandu Jdeica hit a great ball. Vali Calomfirescu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sever Muslea in the 93rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edgar Huțanu in the 95th minute of play forced Arsenal's goalkeeper Dacian Măguran to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Arsenal supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Arsenal would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
