The audience thought a goal was coming when Maurício Turcotte got free with Dinu Cârneci in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dinu Cârneci came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Viitorul F.C.'s Yane Marinov. But to his dismay, Yane Marinov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Dinu Cârneci dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. The FC Ceaușescu 1947 Unit fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Viitorul F.C. were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
