In the 13th minute of the match Manole Oțeteleșanu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Horaţiu Gherdan showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Virgil Mineață during the 13th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 14 played minutes FC Xander got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Mineață. Dumitru Feraru lost his temper 15 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. When Filip Grama came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the FC Xander fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Filip Grama couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, FC Xander's Costică Paveliuc got a free kick in the 22nd minute. After 24 played minutes, Caraseu's Manole Oțeteleșanu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Horaţiu Gherdan came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Caraseu reached it. When Vasile Dascălu came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the FC Xander fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasile Dascălu couldn't finish the play. Vasile Dascălu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Emanuel Drâmbă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 32nd minute, Virgil Mineață made a precise shot to the right of Emanuel Drâmbă. Caraseu's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Virgil Mineață kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Radu Tonegaru charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Radu Tonegaru the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 44th minute, Aurelian Focșa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 46th minute, FC Xander's Vasile Dascălu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emanuel Drâmbă. Emanuel Drâmbă yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Aurelian Focșa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Caraseu's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurelian Focșa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Horaţiu Gherdan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of FC Xander booed when Caraseu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ionuț Ghiurutan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vasile Dascălu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Drâmbă having to interfere. Emanuel Drâmbă made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Virgil Mineață in the 59th minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Manole Vasilescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Emanuel Drâmbă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filip Grama, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ionuț Ghiurutan fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Caraseu's protests and gave Ionuț Ghiurutan a yellow card for diving instead. Vasile Dascălu's late challenge caught a Caraseu's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Vasile Dascălu helped the player get up and apologised. After 91 played minutes FC Xander got a freekick which was hit by Vasile Dascălu. Aurelian Focșa struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Horaţiu Gherdan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caraseu. In the 95th minute, Costin Braica left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Caraseu fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-1.
