Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ciocarlia FC were furious when Florin Udurbac was red carded, 5 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. 4 minutes into the game, one of Ciocarlia FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A hard shot 10 in the game by Anton Cioiu from a close distance when the talented Marcel Moga managed to make a qualified save. Ciesti's players were relieved. Anton Cioiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Marcel Moga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Ciocarlia FC's Anton Cioiu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marcel Moga made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. In the 31st minute, Anton Cioiu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dumitru Şimandan's late challenge caught a Ciocarlia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dumitru Şimandan helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Ciesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dumitru Şimandan to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice moves Anton Cioiu could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Marcel Moga however easily saved by the left post. Flavius Mutu's late challenge caught a Ciocarlia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Flavius Mutu helped the player get up and apologised. After 38 played minutes Ciesti got a freekick which was hit by Flavius Mutu. 39 minutes into the match, Ciesti's goalkeeper Marcel Moga had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Anton Cioiu. If Horia Vărzaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anton Cioiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Moga having to interfere. After 45 played minutes Ciocarlia FC got a freekick which was hit by Marcu Dănălache. Aurelian Acatincăi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Florin Unchiaşu in the 47th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Anton Cioiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Ciesti's Eliodor Boieraș sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Aurelian Acatincăi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marcel Moga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anton Cioiu in the 60th minute of play. Ciocarlia FC's Anton Cioiu got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Marcu Dănălache sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavius Mutu kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anton Cioiu in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Moga saved Ciesti from getting behind. Marius Popilean charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Marius Popilean the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Ciesti getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Marius Popilean hit a great ball. Ciesti's Marcel Moga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vasile Uzuneanu in the 68th minute of play. Horia Vărzaru recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Doru Bourceanu hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Florin Unchiaşu struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Aurelian Acatincăi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ciesti. Ciocarlia FC's Horia Vărzaru got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Ciesti's zone, Horia Vărzaru stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Moga came out of the goal and Horia Vărzaru tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Anton Cioiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ciocarlia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Ciocarlia FC fully deserved thier win.
