Aurelian Acatincăi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Basarab Odobescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 7 played minutes Ciocarlia FC got a freekick which was hit by Horia Vărzaru. When Basarab Odobescu came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the FC Xander fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basarab Odobescu couldn't finish the play. Liviu Antipa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Horaţiu Gherdan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Horaţiu Gherdan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anton Cioiu went, in the 16th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. In the 22nd minute, Ciocarlia FC's Liviu Antipa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Horaţiu Gherdan. Horaţiu Gherdan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Vasile Dascălu kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Vasile Dascălu got the opportunity to take care of a free kick it resulted in a really dangerous shot that almost went in the goal. Instead the ball went too high, a missed opportunity for FC Xander. Horaţiu Gherdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Liviu Antipa in the 30th minute of play. Aurelian Acatincăi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basarab Odobescu in the 31st minute of the match. Liviu Antipa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horaţiu Gherdan having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Odobescu in the 57th minute of play forced Ciocarlia FC's goalkeeper Aurelian Acatincăi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 59th minute, Filip Grama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marius Tarcea kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Costin Zăgănescu during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. When the match had been going on for 64 minutes, FC Xander's Leonard Bărboianu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Aurelian Acatincăi. Liviu Antipa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 72 minutes into the match, Anton Cioiu notched a goal, 4-1, to the right of FC Xander's Horaţiu Gherdan. Horaţiu Gherdan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of FC Xander booed when Ciocarlia FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horia Vărzaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ciocarlia FC's Aurelian Acatincăi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save Ciocarlia FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Odobescu in the 97th minute of play forced Ciocarlia FC's goalkeeper Aurelian Acatincăi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With his leg Aurelian Acatincăi managed to avoid a goal in the 99thth minute, when FC Xander's Vasile Dascălu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Ciocarlia FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
