Spectators: 7409 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1759, VIP seats: 150) Costin Braru made the kick off and thus started the match. 7 minutes into the game, Bulgaru AS's Leontin Zubaşcu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Albert Oanță made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The crowd rose to their feet as Patricheni's Moise Avădanei slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tiberiu Tudose. That made the score 1-1 after 11 minutes of play. The supporters of Patricheni booed when Bulgaru AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manuel Aluculesei didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 22nd minute, Patricheni's Costin Braru ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Tiberiu Tudose. Tiberiu Tudose yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After 24 played minutes Patricheni got a freekick which was hit by Costin Braru. After some careless play in the Patricheni defense, Leontin Zubaşcu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Albert Oanță. The Patricheni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Albert Oanță should have stopped the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucrețiu Piersic got free with Tiberiu Tudose in the 30th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tiberiu Tudose made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lucrețiu Piersic in the 46th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leontin Zubaşcu to make the kick off. Albert Oanță showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leontin Zubaşcu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. When Lucrețiu Piersic fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Patricheni's protests and gave Lucrețiu Piersic a yellow card for diving instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costin Braru in the 59th minute of play forced Bulgaru AS's goalkeeper Tiberiu Tudose to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Albert Oanță made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pavel Măguran in the 61st minute. After a rather tough play, Patricheni's Aristide Silişteanu got a free kick in the 61st minute. Tiberiu Tudose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Costin Braru in the 65th minute of play. Lucrețiu Piersic fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Tudose having to interfere. Tiberiu Tudose took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lucrețiu Piersic, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Florin Frâncu during the 70th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 69 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bulgaru AS! Pavel Măguran who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 82ndth minute tested the skills of Albert Oanță when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 83rd minute Moise Avădanei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiberiu Tudose saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiberiu Tudose made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lucrețiu Piersic in the 85th minute of play. Tiberiu Tudose didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Lucrețiu Piersic went, in the 96th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-3 was the resulting score. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Patricheni fans cheered their team off the field, for while Bulgaru AS had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
