Dumitru Şimandan hit a great ball. 5 minutes into the match, Ciesti's goal looked a bit too open when Dorin Roşculeţ came free, but Marcel Moga reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Patricheni's Albert Oanță got control of the ball when Florin Unchiaşu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Aristide Silişteanu kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. Florin Unchiaşu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Albert Oanță read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 10th minute of play. Costin Braru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Marcel Moga having to make a save. Costin Braru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Moga having to interfere. Costin Braru got in the 17th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Marcel Moga handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. If Lucrețiu Piersic had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aristide Silişteanu in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Moga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 21 minutes into the match, Florin Unchiaşu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Patricheni's Albert Oanță. Albert Oanță was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 24th minute Costin Braru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marcel Moga saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Moise Avădanei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Marcel Moga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florin Unchiaşu took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Albert Oanță. Albert Oanță dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. After a defensive mix-up in Ciesti's zone, Lucrețiu Piersic stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Moga came out of the goal and Lucrețiu Piersic tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Costin Braru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Marcel Moga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Dorin Roşculeţ's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Moga was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. In the 47th minute, Costin Braru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Patricheni fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute, Florin Unchiaşu made a precise shot to the right of Albert Oanță. Patricheni's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Dumitru Şimandan hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Patricheni's supporters rose to their feet, but Lucrețiu Piersic was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Moga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucrețiu Piersic sent away a hard shot on goal in the 67th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 68 minutes into the game, Anton Chifan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ciesti's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Patricheni the free kick. A collision led to Ciesti getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Anton Chifan hit a great ball. When Florin Unchiaşu came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Ciesti fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Florin Unchiaşu couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ciesti's Iulian Cernea got a free kick in the 82nd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Codrin Mustățea during the 84th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84th match minute, Ciesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Codrin Mustățea to maneuver through the defense.
