Ciesti's Marcel Moga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedicto Abello in the 6th minute of play. But to his dismay, Laurențiu Rogozanu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The long shot by Codrin Mustățea in the 16th minute really tested Mihnea Suşu's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Benedicto Abello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Moga having to interfere. The supporters of FC Dacii Liberi - IASI booed when Ciesti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Marius Popilean didn't get a good kick on the ball. When FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's Benedicto Abello in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Marcel Moga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After some careless play in the Ciesti defense, Gaizko Abaurre kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Marcel Moga. The Ciesti fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marcel Moga should have stopped the shot. Marcel Moga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benedicto Abello, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Marcel Moga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gaizko Abaurre's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Marcel Moga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurențiu Rogozanu in the 45th minute of play. Laurențiu Rogozanu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Marcel Moga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-5.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliodor Boieraș stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedicto Abello in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marcel Moga prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Benedicto Abello recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 56th minute, Petru Drâmba fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Marcel Moga, passed just outside the right post. Laurențiu Rogozanu took the ball and in the 64 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcel Moga. Marcel Moga dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-7. After 68 played minutes Ciesti got a freekick which was hit by Dumitru Şimandan. 69 minutes into the match, Benedicto Abello had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Marcel Moga. Ciesti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benedicto Abello was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-8. If Gaizko Abaurre had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Dominic Sârbu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's supporters rose to their feet, but Dominic Sârbu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Moga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benedicto Abello in the 81st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Marcel Moga saved Ciesti from getting behind. Marcel Moga made a fantastic save in the 82nd minute, when Laurențiu Rogozanu sent off a good shot on target. When FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's Benedicto Abello in the 83rd minute got a chance for a shot 83rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ciesti's goalie prevented a goal. Benedicto Abello received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcel Moga came out and tried to block the shot, but Benedicto Abello slotted it home off the left post making it 0-9 in the 87th minute. When Benedicto Abello came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the FC Dacii Liberi - IASI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benedicto Abello couldn't finish the play.
