The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Irinel Cumpan in the 2nd minute of play forced Caraseu's goalkeeper Emanuel Drâmbă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 5th minute Vasile Nicorici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Drâmbă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fabian Gioagă came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emanuel Drâmbă could save by the left post. In the 10th minute, FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's Irinel Cumpan dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Vasile Nicorici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Emanuel Drâmbă made a huge save. Emanuel Drâmbă came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's Vasile Nicorici. But to his dismay, Vasile Nicorici quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Iacob Coraș scored 3-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Emanuel Drâmbă, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 29th minute, FC Dacii Liberi - IASI's Eugen Macri ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Emanuel Drâmbă. Emanuel Drâmbă yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. In the 31st minute, Caraseu's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Iacob Coraș fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Caraseu booed when FC Dacii Liberi - IASI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Laurențiu Rogozanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nicolae Avarvarei charged in rather forcefully in the 38th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolae Avarvarei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Manole Oțeteleșanu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 42nd minute Vasile Nicorici shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Drâmbă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominic Sârbu got free with Emanuel Drâmbă in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 4-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurelian Focșa was the one to do the kick off. In the 56th minute, Iacob Coraș ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Drâmbă was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. In the 65th minute Fabian Gioagă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Drâmbă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Manole Oțeteleșanu struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Mihnea Suşu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Caraseu. Emanuel Drâmbă showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasile Nicorici in the 86th minute of the match. 87 minutes into the game, Vasile Nicorici cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Emanuel Drâmbă was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Gioagă in the 91st minute of play forced Caraseu's goalkeeper Emanuel Drâmbă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Caraseu defense, Iacob Coraș kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Emanuel Drâmbă. The Caraseu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Emanuel Drâmbă should have stopped the shot. Vasile Nicorici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
