Dorin Boroș kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. When Leonard Bărboianu came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the FC Xander fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leonard Bărboianu couldn't finish the play. If Basarab Odobescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Vasile Dascălu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Marcel Moga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Marcel Moga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basarab Odobescu in the 26th minute of play. Marcel Moga came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Xander's Filip Grama. But to his dismay, Filip Grama quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Odobescu in the 32nd minute of play forced Ciesti's goalkeeper Marcel Moga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcel Moga had great luck who in the 34thth minute grab hold of the ball when Basarab Odobescu from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. If Florin Unchiaşu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Basarab Odobescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Moga having to interfere. After 38 played minutes Ciesti got a freekick which was hit by Marius Popilean. When the match clock showed 39 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Vasile Dascălu sped through Ciesti's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Marcel Moga. After some fancy dribbling in the 45th minute, Basarab Odobescu managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Xander's supporters rose to their feet, but Basarab Odobescu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Marcel Moga breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

Marcel Moga made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vasile Dascălu in the 53rd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Basarab Odobescu in the 54th minute of play forced Ciesti's goalkeeper Marcel Moga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Ciesti's Dorin Boroș got a free kick in the 57th minute. After some careless play in the FC Xander defense, Eliodor Boieraș kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horaţiu Gherdan. The FC Xander fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horaţiu Gherdan should have stopped the shot. After having played for 71 minutes, Basarab Odobescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Xander's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basarab Odobescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Ciesti's zone, Vasile Dascălu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Moga came out of the goal and Vasile Dascălu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basarab Odobescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Marcel Moga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Vădan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcel Moga read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 77th minute of play. In the 77th match minute, Ciesti was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Popilean to maneuver through the defense. Virgil Mineață sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. If Vasile Dascălu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Basarab Odobescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Marcel Moga was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Ciesti's zone, Vasile Dascălu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcel Moga came out of the goal and Vasile Dascălu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 88 minutes, Vasile Dascălu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Xander's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vasile Dascălu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Flavius Mutu kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. After 90 played minutes FC Xander got a freekick which was hit by Basarab Odobescu. Florin Unchiaşu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Horaţiu Gherdan made a huge save. FC Xander's Horaţiu Gherdan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save FC Xander from getting a goal against them. 97 minutes into the game, Costică Paveliuc was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Xander's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ciesti the free kick. Costică Paveliuc kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match.
