Codrin Lungu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from George Joja, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. Costică Tănăsie took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Șerbulea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Emanuel Niculiță had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pavel Șerbulea received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Costică Tănăsie came out and tried to block the shot, but Pavel Șerbulea slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 44th minute. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cazimir Berceanu to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the match, Furnicosi CSM's goal looked a bit too open when Cazimir Berceanu came free, but Codrin Lungu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Codrin Lungu was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and George Joja capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. George Joja really showed his touch with that goal: 1-2. After a rather tough play, Furnicosi CSM's Matei Axinte got a free kick in the 65th minute.
