When Sabin Astafiei came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Carloman fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sabin Astafiei couldn't finish the play. Carloman's Tiberiu Zamfirescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ştefan Zotincă in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Zotincă in the 26th minute of play forced Carloman's goalkeeper Tiberiu Zamfirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionel Urduban could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 29th minute of the match, but Tiberiu Zamfirescu made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Zotincă in the 30th minute of play forced Carloman's goalkeeper Tiberiu Zamfirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petrică Udup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sabin Astafiei, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 32 played minutes FC Vacarii got a freekick which was hit by Denis Luca. Tiberiu Zamfirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ştefan Zotincă in the 38th minute of the match. FC Vacarii's Petrică Udup played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabin Astafiei in the 39th minute of play. Sabin Astafiei sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Panait Cojocaru made a kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Ferdinand Costache managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Vacarii's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferdinand Costache was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiberiu Zamfirescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ştefan Zotincă sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. Panait Cojocaru might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Petrică Udup. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Panait Cojocaru ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 81st match minute, FC Vacarii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aristide Surdilă to maneuver through the defense. Ferdinand Costache recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Tiberiu Zamfirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ştefan Zotincă in the 86th minute of play. In the 90th minute Ştefan Zotincă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiberiu Zamfirescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ştefan Zotincă in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Tiberiu Zamfirescu saved Carloman from getting behind. Carloman's Sabin Astafiei got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Vacarii walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
