Spectators: 7690 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 150) Carloman's Panait Cojocaru started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rd minute, Sins's Remus Pinchon seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Remus Pinchon the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Sins protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Remus Pinchon had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 2nd minute of the game. One of Sins:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Carloman:s goal. Tiberiu Zamfirescu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Peng Yin Lin in the 9th minute of play. Osvaldo Ardiles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sins's Osvaldo Ardiles got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Peng Yin Lin in the 22nd minute of play forced Carloman's goalkeeper Tiberiu Zamfirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Carloman's zone, Peng Yin Lin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Zamfirescu came out of the goal and Peng Yin Lin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Ardiles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Tiberiu Zamfirescu having to make a save. Robustiano Inko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Tiberiu Zamfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 35 minutes into the match, Peng Yin Lin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Tiberiu Zamfirescu. Carloman's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Peng Yin Lin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. Tiberiu Zamfirescu showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Osvaldo Ardiles, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. When Robustiano Inko came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Sins fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robustiano Inko couldn't finish the play. The Carloman players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sins were winning 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Osvaldo Ardiles was the one to do the kick off. Sabin Astafiei received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Dantel Sánchez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Osvaldo Ardiles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Tiberiu Zamfirescu came out and tried to block the shot, but Osvaldo Ardiles slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 54th minute. In the 57th minute, Peng Yin Lin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiberiu Zamfirescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Sins's Robustiano Inko got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After having played for 64 minutes, Osvaldo Ardiles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Osvaldo Ardiles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Robustiano Inko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sins fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-5. 70 minutes into the game, Robustiano Inko cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-6. Tiberiu Zamfirescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 73rd minute, Peng Yin Lin made a precise shot to the right of Tiberiu Zamfirescu. Carloman's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-7. After having played for 78 minutes, Peng Yin Lin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sins's supporters crossed their fingers, but Peng Yin Lin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Peng Yin Lin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Zamfirescu having to interfere. Peng Yin Lin might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tiberiu Zamfirescu. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Peng Yin Lin ran back to his position shaking his head. 94 minutes into the match, Osvaldo Ardiles notched a goal, 1-8, to the right of Carloman's Tiberiu Zamfirescu. Tiberiu Zamfirescu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sins's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
