Seating: 1764, VIP seats: 153) Schiaul's Horea Cucerdean started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sabin Astafiei struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Teodor Nacu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carloman. After 5 played minutes Schiaul got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Luncașu. 10 minutes into the game, Paul Craia was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carloman's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schiaul the free kick. After a rather tough play, Carloman's Paul Craia got a free kick in the 10th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, Horea Cucerdean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schiaul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horea Cucerdean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Horea Cucerdean fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Zamfirescu having to interfere. Mădălin Şoimaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Zamfirescu having to interfere. 21 minutes into the game, Ionel Stolojan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Carloman's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Schiaul the free kick. In the 21st minute, Ionel Stolojan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Carloman's zone, Sergiu Pisculescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tiberiu Zamfirescu came out of the goal and Sergiu Pisculescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 25 played minutes Carloman got a freekick which was hit by Andrei Miu. If Sabin Astafiei had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 minutes of play, Schiaul's Leonides Poz made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tiberiu Zamfirescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute, Leonides Poz ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Tiberiu Zamfirescu was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sergiu Pisculescu in the 43rd minute of play forced Carloman's goalkeeper Tiberiu Zamfirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ştefan Mutu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 46 minutes, Horea Cucerdean managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Schiaul's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horea Cucerdean was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.
The wind increased when Panait Cojocaru made the kick off in the second half. Leonides Poz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Tiberiu Zamfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Leonides Poz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Zamfirescu having to interfere. Tiberiu Zamfirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergiu Pisculescu in the 62nd minute of the match. Leonides Poz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Tiberiu Zamfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sergiu Pisculescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiberiu Zamfirescu having to interfere. Tiberiu Zamfirescu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sergiu Pisculescu in the 66th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leonides Poz in the 68th minute of play forced Carloman's goalkeeper Tiberiu Zamfirescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Horea Cucerdean had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 76 minutes into the match, Schiaul's Mădălin Şoimaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Tiberiu Zamfirescu narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Sergiu Pisculescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Tiberiu Zamfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 81st minute, Leonides Poz left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Schiaul fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Leonides Poz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Schiaul's supporters rose to their feet, but Leonides Poz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tiberiu Zamfirescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 90 played minutes Carloman got a freekick which was hit by Ionel Stolojan. Sergiu Pisculescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Leonides Poz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Tiberiu Zamfirescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Schiaul's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
