Alex Blănaru was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The F.C. Ripensia Timişoara players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. But to his dismay, Codruț Nicea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-8. Alex Blănaru made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emilian Bute in the 77th minute. 79 minutes into the game, Dumbravioara's Traian Tănăsescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alex Blănaru made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. 82 minutes into the match, F.C. Ripensia Timişoara's goal looked a bit too open when Codruț Nicea came free, but Alex Blănaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 85 played minutes Traian Tănăsescu rounded F.C. Ripensia Timişoara's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-10. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codruț Nicea in the 88th minute of play forced F.C. When the match was over Dumbravioara could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than F.C. Ripensia Timişoara throughout the match.
