Spectators: 7693 (Terracing: 5771, Seating: 1769, VIP seats: 153) FCM BACAU's Iordache Şerbănoiu started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Blitz Construct's Mugur Grecea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Iordache Şerbănoiu in the 4th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in FCM BACAU's zone, Horea Burileanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisc Braica came out of the goal and Horea Burileanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Marian Humă came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Blitz Construct fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Marian Humă couldn't finish the play. When Blitz Construct's Marian Humă in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FCM BACAU's goalie prevented a goal. Horea Burileanu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alex Urdoi hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Mugur Grecea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gabriel Cosâmbescu in the 32nd minute of play. A nice corner shot did that Cezar Zdrenghea got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Mugur Grecea quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. In the 36th minute Iordache Şerbănoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Grecea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marian Humă made a kick off. After a rather tough play, FCM BACAU's Alex Urdoi got a free kick in the 51st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Marian Humă in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francisc Braica saved FCM BACAU from getting behind. In the 54th minute, Horea Burileanu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisc Braica was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Blitz Construct's Mugur Grecea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 65th minute of the match, managed to save Blitz Construct from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Marian Gioagă during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 66th minute, Marian Gioagă hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gabriel Cosâmbescu got free with Mugur Grecea in the 69th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Iordache Şerbănoiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Mugur Grecea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 82nd match minute, FCM BACAU was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandru Chindriș to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, FCM BACAU's Pompiliu Albuț got a free kick in the 91st minute. Gabriel Cosâmbescu took the ball and in the 94 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mugur Grecea. Mugur Grecea dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
