But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silvano Kusko couldn't finish the play. CFR Cluj's defense didn't have a chance, in the 16th minute, when Liviu Brumaru scored to the left of an out of position Gelu Blaga, making the score, 1-0. The Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM- fans' excitement grew in the 22nd match minute when Forza Ocna Sugatag -MM-'s Silvano Kusko looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 2-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Basarab Tutuianu kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Iurie Ciucă might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Liviu Tolea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. The referee showed Albert Godeanu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. CFR Cluj's Gelu Blaga proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save CFR Cluj from getting a goal against them. When the match had gone on for 44 minutes, Silvano Kusko put it in 3-0 from a short distance just to the right of Gelu Blaga. Basarab Tutuianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gelu Blaga having to interfere.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Emanuel Nișu made a kick off.
