Steaua Bucuresti's Iulian Urducea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Steaua Bucuresti from getting a goal against them. Philip Eklund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Iulian Urducea made a huge save. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Dinu Augustin took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Iulian Urducea to make any attempt to save it. 11 minutes into the match, Dinu Augustin had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iulian Urducea. Steaua Bucuresti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dinu Augustin was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Dinu Augustin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Iulian Urducea was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dinu Augustin showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 16 minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Pavel Bosioc kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Iulian Urducea. That made the score 4-0 in the 18 minute of play. Steaua Bucuresti's Iulian Urducea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pavel Bosioc in the 21st minute of play. Axel Ekblom sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Iulian Urducea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gelu Merișor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dinu Augustin came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Sepsiszentgyörgy fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dinu Augustin couldn't finish the play. Iulian Urducea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gelu Merișor, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Iulian Urducea came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Sepsiszentgyörgy's Axel Ekblom. But to his dismay, Axel Ekblom quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Dinu Augustin scored 6-0 in the 33rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Iulian Urducea, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 35 minutes into the game, Sepsiszentgyörgy's Axel Ekblom nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iulian Urducea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 7-0. The audience was convinced that Dinu Augustin's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Iulian Urducea was relentless in the 39th minute of the game. Dinu Augustin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Iulian Urducea made a huge save. Axel Ekblom recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Iulian Urducea had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dinu Augustin. Iulian Urducea made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Philip Eklund sent off a good shot on target. Iulian Urducea was a little too slow when Gelu Merișor got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 47th minute. The score was now 8-0. Af the end of the first half the score was 8-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aurel Ciocoiu was the one to do the kick off. Iulian Urducea came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Sepsiszentgyörgy's Dinu Augustin. But to his dismay, Dinu Augustin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 9-0. In the 56th minute, Dinu Augustin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sepsiszentgyörgy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 10-0. 59 minutes into the game, Sepsiszentgyörgy's Dinu Augustin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iulian Urducea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Bosioc in the 62nd minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, Steaua Bucuresti's goal looked a bit too open when Axel Ekblom came free, but Iulian Urducea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Iulian Urducea was left in no man's land by his defense there! The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucian Achifoaiei during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 86 minutes into the game, one of Steaua Bucuresti:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 87th minute there was a penalty for Sepsiszentgyörgy. Pavel Bosioc stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Iulian Urducea. 15-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pavel Bosioc in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Iulian Urducea prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 91st minute, Dinu Augustin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sepsiszentgyörgy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 16-0. Iulian Urducea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Axel Ekblom, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Sepsiszentgyörgy had played much better football throughout.
