Francisc Vlăsiu charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Francisc Vlăsiu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Francisc Vlăsiu hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. FC Pirciu's Octavian Isăilă played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Augustin Cosoroabă in the 10th minute of play. After having played for 12 minutes, Iustin Păsărin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Pirciu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iustin Păsărin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vintilă Zegreanu struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Francisc Ţeica didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Pirciu. After a rather tough play, FC Pirciu's Radu Afloarei got a free kick in the 17th minute. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 24th minute of the game. One of Rapid FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FC Pirciu:s goal. Francisc Ţeica had in the 25thth minute some difficulties stopping 沈皓铮's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. FC Pirciu were awarded a corner in the 26th minute after Rapid FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. 沈皓铮 took the corner. The corner led FC Pirciu's Vintilă Zegreanu to fire away a dangerous shot which Francisc Ţeica despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. After 31 played minutes Rapid FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabian Hrib. A collision led to FC Pirciu getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Sabin Hâncu hit a great ball. Francisc Ţeica showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iustin Păsărin, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. In the 40th minute, Vintilă Zegreanu made a precise shot to the right of Francisc Ţeica. Rapid FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid FC's zone, Iustin Păsărin stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisc Ţeica came out of the goal and Iustin Păsărin tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Augustin Cosoroabă to make the kick off. Sever Iorgovan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Francisc Ţeica having to make a save. In the 57th minute Sever Iorgovan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Francisc Ţeica saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Augustin Cosoroabă in the 59th minute of play forced FC Pirciu's goalkeeper Octavian Isăilă to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Rapid FC's goalkeeper Francisc Ţeica, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Francisc Ţeica took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sever Iorgovan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Rapid FC's Maxim Pop in the 75th minute got a chance for a shot 75th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FC Pirciu's goalie prevented a goal. In the 82nd match minute, Rapid FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valeriu Boboc to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Rapid FC's zone, Ion Popoacă stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Francisc Ţeica came out of the goal and Ion Popoacă tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 95 minutes into the game, Iustin Păsărin was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Pirciu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Rapid FC the free kick. After 95 played minutes FC Pirciu got a freekick which was hit by Iustin Păsărin. In the 97th minute Maxim Pop shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Octavian Isăilă saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Pirciu's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
