Spectators: 7710 (Terracing: 5784, Seating: 1773, VIP seats: 153) Tociloasa's Silviu Paraschiv started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Tociloasa's goal looked a bit too open when Iordache Bujor came free, but Petre Stere reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th minute, Silviu Paraschiv reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Iulian Urducea. The goal made the score 2-0. Iulian Urducea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silviu Paraschiv, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Iulian Urducea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Paraschiv in the 18th minute of play. If Aurel Ciocoiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute Petre Marina shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Urducea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iulian Urducea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silviu Paraschiv in the 28th minute of play. Iulian Urducea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silviu Paraschiv in the 29th minute of the match. Iordache Bujor hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the game, Paul Dragotescu recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Iulian Urducea. Paul Dragotescu showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 3-0. After 37 played minutes Tociloasa got a freekick which was hit by Paul Dragotescu. In the 39th minute Silviu Paraschiv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Urducea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Iordache Bujor's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Petre Stere read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. In the 41st minute, Valentin Iurașcu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Steaua Bucuresti's Lucian Achifoaiei got a free kick in the 45th minute. When Vasile Enășoiu came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the Tociloasa fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vasile Enășoiu couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Steaua Bucuresti booed when Tociloasa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eduard Bojonca didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Aurel Ciocoiu made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Steaua Bucuresti's Lucian Achifoaiei ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Petre Stere. Petre Stere yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-1. Lucian Achifoaieis short, quick shot in the 57thth minute got Petre Stere to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 59thth minute of the game Aurel Ciocoiu who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tociloasa's Petre Stere was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute Silviu Paraschiv shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Iulian Urducea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tociloasa's Silviu Paraschiv got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute, Iordache Bujor fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Petre Stere, passed just outside the right post. Iordache Bujor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aurel Ciocoiu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petre Stere having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silviu Paraschiv in the 82nd minute of play forced Steaua Bucuresti's goalkeeper Iulian Urducea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 83 minutes into the match, Silviu Paraschiv had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Iulian Urducea. Steaua Bucuresti's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Silviu Paraschiv was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. If Moise Marchiș had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Steaua Bucuresti's Iulian Urducea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviu Paraschiv in the 88th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Aurel Ciocoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Steaua Bucuresti's supporters rose to their feet, but Aurel Ciocoiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Petre Stere breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Tociloasa had played much better football throughout.
