When Dinu Augustin fell near the penalty area in the 4th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sepsiszentgyörgy's protests and gave Dinu Augustin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of FC FCSB SA booed when Sepsiszentgyörgy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinu Augustin didn't get a good kick on the ball. 6 minutes into the match, FC FCSB SA's goal looked a bit too open when Pavel Bosioc came free, but Florin Lozovan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. FC FCSB SA's Florin Lozovan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save FC FCSB SA from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, FC FCSB SA's Mihai Lovinescu got a free kick in the 11th minute. 13 minutes into the match, Gelu Merișor had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Florin Lozovan. FC FCSB SA's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Gelu Merișor was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. With his leg Florin Lozovan managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Sepsiszentgyörgy's Dinu Augustin fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Edvaldo Silveira could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Florin Lozovan made a huge save. After 21st play minutes Dinu Augustin shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Florin Lozovan and just under the crossbar into goal. Florin Lozovan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pavel Bosioc, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dinu Augustin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Florin Lozovan made a huge save. Florin Lozovan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Axel Ekblom in the 26th minute of play. Gelu Merișor sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, FC FCSB SA's Florin Lozovan got control of the ball when Gelu Merișor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice moves Philip Eklund could shoot a difficult shot in the 33rd minute, which Florin Lozovan however easily saved by the left post. If Grigore Geambașu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 36 minutes into the match, Axel Ekblom dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Florin Lozovan, 5-0. Florin Lozovan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gelu Merișor in the 39th minute of the match. After 39 played minutes FC FCSB SA got a freekick which was hit by Grigore Geambașu. 41 minutes into the game, Axel Ekblom cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Florin Lozovan was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Florin Lozovan made an important save on a dangerous shot by Axel Ekblom in the 45th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Axel Ekblom managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sepsiszentgyörgy's supporters rose to their feet, but Axel Ekblom was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florin Lozovan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 6-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dinu Augustin to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the match, FC FCSB SA's goal looked a bit too open when Philip Eklund came free, but Florin Lozovan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 55 played minutes FC FCSB SA got a freekick which was hit by Grigore Geambașu. 56 minutes into the game, Sepsiszentgyörgy's Dinu Augustin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florin Lozovan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 8-0. In the 59th minute, Dinu Augustin left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. FC FCSB SA's Florin Lozovan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gelu Merișor in the 62nd minute of play. After a rather tough play, FC FCSB SA's Grigore Geambașu got a free kick in the 65th minute. 66 minutes into the game, Sepsiszentgyörgy's Dinu Augustin nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Florin Lozovan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 10-0. Axel Ekblom took the ball and in the 71 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Florin Lozovan. Florin Lozovan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 11-0. Gelu Merișor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Florin Lozovan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 76th play minutes Dinu Augustin shot 12-0, a short shot which went by Florin Lozovan and just under the crossbar into goal. Sepsiszentgyörgy's Anton Bucur was substituted for Costel Stolnicu. In the 81st minute, Axel Ekblom left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sepsiszentgyörgy fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 13-0. 84 minutes into the match, FC FCSB SA's goal looked a bit too open when Gelu Merișor came free, but Florin Lozovan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But to his dismay, Dinu Augustin quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 15-0. The Sepsiszentgyörgy fans' excitement grew in the 97th match minute when Sepsiszentgyörgy's Dinu Augustin looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 16-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Sepsiszentgyörgy's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
