Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lucrețiu Meleșcanu started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. When Valeriu Anastasiu came up free with the goalie in the 3rd minute, the UFC Piluganii fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Valeriu Anastasiu couldn't finish the play. UFC Piluganii's Ionel Maghear played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Stroie in the 6th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valeriu Anastasiu in the 8th minute of play forced Avintu AC's goalkeeper Petruț Pipirig to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Petruț Pipirig took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Valeriu Anastasiu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Lucrețiu Meleșcanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Avintu AC's Petruț Pipirig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lucrețiu Meleșcanu in the 16th minute of play. UFC Piluganii's Ionel Maghear played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Constantin Stroie in the 20th minute of play. After 21 minutes UFC Piluganii's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Toader Hurezeanu who took care of the corner kick. In the 24th match minute, UFC Piluganii was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Valer Buhăescu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gavril Beca in the 25th minute of play forced UFC Piluganii's goalkeeper Ionel Maghear to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Lucrețiu Meleșcanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ionel Maghear showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Constantin Stroie in the 29th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 35 minutes, the score became 1-1 when Lucrețiu Meleșcanu sped through Avintu AC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Petruț Pipirig. If Gavril Beca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gavril Beca's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Ionel Maghear firmly grabbed it by the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ştefan Zăgănescu in the 46th minute of play forced UFC Piluganii's goalkeeper Ionel Maghear to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Constantin Stroie made the kick off in the second half. If Valeriu Anastasiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 55th minute Constantin Stroie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ionel Maghear saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 57th play minutes Constantin Stroie shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Ionel Maghear and just under the crossbar into goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mihăiţă Ştoia during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Mihăiţă Ştoia kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Gavril Beca took the ball and in the 63 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ionel Maghear. Ionel Maghear dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. 75 minutes into the match, Avintu AC's goalkeeper Petruț Pipirig had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lucrețiu Meleșcanu. Lucrețiu Meleșcanu who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 76thth minute tested the skills of Petruț Pipirig when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Ştefan Zăgănescu fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Avintu AC's protests and gave Ştefan Zăgănescu a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of UFC Piluganii booed when Avintu AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 79 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Zăgănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Toader Hurezeanu hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. A collision led to Avintu AC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Constantin Stroie hit a great ball. After having played for 89 minutes, Valeriu Anastasiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. UFC Piluganii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Valeriu Anastasiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 95 minutes into the game, UFC Piluganii's Lucrețiu Meleșcanu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Petruț Pipirig made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-2. When the referee blew the final whistle, Avintu AC could leave the field as winners, despite UFC Piluganii having more of the ball for most of the match.
