UFC Piluganii's supporters crossed their fingers, but Lucrețiu Meleșcanu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, UFC Piluganii's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Calomfirescu came free, but Ionel Maghear reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Olimpiu Ciuvică fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ionel Maghear having to interfere. UFC Piluganii's attentive Horea Udroiu managed to snatch the ball when Francisc Ghiciușca made a throw-in in the 24th minute of the game. If Valeriu Anastasiu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 35th minute, Denis Bratiloveanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Francisc Ghiciușca sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The wind increased when Olimpiu Ciuvică made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Olimpiu Ciuvică kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Ionel Maghear. That made the score 0-1 in the 52 minute of play. Paul Berca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Meleșcanu in the 57th minute of the match. Costin Bologan hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. 65 minutes into the match, Tineretului FC's goal looked a bit too open when Valeriu Anastasiu came free, but Paul Berca reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Valeriu Anastasiu in the 67th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Paul Berca saved Tineretului FC from getting behind. In the 75th minute of the match, Daniel Calomfirescu tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ionel Maghear saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After a defensive mix-up in Tineretului FC's zone, Lucrețiu Meleșcanu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paul Berca came out of the goal and Lucrețiu Meleșcanu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Paul Berca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lucrețiu Meleșcanu in the 87th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Valeriu Anastasiu managed to get in a good position for a shot. UFC Piluganii's supporters rose to their feet, but Valeriu Anastasiu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paul Berca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tineretului FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
