The nice shot from Gavril Beca in the 3rdth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Manuel Suşu had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Petre Zub sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 7 minutes into the match, Petre Zub notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Avintu AC's Petruț Pipirig. Petruț Pipirig was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Petruț Pipirig showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Petre Zub, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Avintu AC's Petruț Pipirig played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Petre Zub in the 15th minute of play. The supporters of Gilau booed when Avintu AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ştefan Zăgănescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Alin Dejeu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the match, Avintu AC's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Dejeu came free, but Petruț Pipirig reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ştefan Zăgănescu during the 52nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gilau's Codrin Târban got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Suşu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Baba in the 84th minute of play. If Gavril Beca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th match minute, Gilau was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Iacob to maneuver through the defense. Alin Dejeu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Petruț Pipirig having to interfere. Petre Zub received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Petruț Pipirig tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Denis Iacob fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gilau's protests and gave Denis Iacob a yellow card for diving instead. 96 minutes into the match, Avintu AC's Toader Hurezeanu broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Gilau had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
