The Gilau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sebastian Zăgănescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sergiu Bungescu could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Manuel Suşu made a huge save. Ivan Zăgănescu hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. Manchester United's Sergiu Bungescu got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Manuel Suşu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastian Zăgănescu in the 26th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Sebastian Zăgănescu in the 31st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Manuel Suşu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 32 minutes into the game, Sebastian Zăgănescu lined in a short shot 1-1 behind a frustrated Manuel Suşu. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Manuel Suşu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ivan Zăgănescu hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. After 43 played minutes Manchester United got a freekick which was hit by Ivan Zăgănescu. 44 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goal looked a bit too open when Alin Dejeu came free, but Iustin Hârciog reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manchester United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergiu Bungescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There was no doubt that Manchester United were the better team. Manchester United's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
