The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. With a little luck, Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Virgil Neghină got control of the ball when Ovidiu Răica tried to sneak it across the goal line. Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Virgil Neghină played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Cercelescu in the 4th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Rapid București's Gigi Vermeşan got a free kick in the 5th minute. 10 minutes into the match, Phoenix Seini -MM-'s goalkeeper Virgil Neghină had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ovidiu Răica. Virgil Neghină was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Vali Cercelescu showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 13 minute of play. Bobby Ares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sever Axinte, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vali Cercelescu in the 21st minute of play forced Phoenix Seini -MM-'s goalkeeper Virgil Neghină to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Ilie Mustățea's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bobby Ares was relentless in the 22nd minute of the game. Rapid București's Bobby Ares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilie Mustățea in the 24th minute of play. If Ovidiu Răica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Rapid București's Avram Dănănae slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Virgil Neghină. That made the score 2-0 after 27 minutes of play. Cristi Avădanei charged in rather forcefully in the 30th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cristi Avădanei the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Rapid București booed when Phoenix Seini -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cristi Avădanei didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgil Neghină made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Cercelescu in the 32nd minute of play. Virgil Neghină made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ovidiu Răica in the 36th minute. Virgil Neghină made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Ovidiu Răica sent off a good shot on target. 39 minutes into the match, Phoenix Seini -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Vali Cercelescu came free, but Virgil Neghină reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Avram Dănănae made a kick off. Ilie Mustățea kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Rapid București's keeper Bobby Ares was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Virgil Neghină stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidiu Răica's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Virgil Neghină made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Cercelescu in the 64th minute of play. 66 minutes into the match, Rapid București's goal looked a bit too open when Ilie Mustățea came free, but Bobby Ares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Virgil Neghină took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Avram Dănănae, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Virgil Neghină made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ovidiu Răica in the 69th minute of play. Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Virgil Neghină played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Cercelescu in the 70th minute of play. In the 72nd minute Ovidiu Răica shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Neghină saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 72 played minutes Phoenix Seini -MM- got a freekick which was hit by Vintilă Răuţă. Virgil Neghină came out of the goal in the 79th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid București's Avram Dănănae. But to his dismay, Avram Dănănae quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. Virgil Neghină stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ovidiu Răica's shot from short distance in the 83rd minute. After having played for 85 minutes, Avram Dănănae managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Rapid București's supporters crossed their fingers, but Avram Dănănae was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Virgil Neghină played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vali Cercelescu in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Stelian Tutuianu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Virgil Neghină came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid București's Vali Cercelescu. But to his dismay, Vali Cercelescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 6-0. When the referee ended the match the Rapid București players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
