In the 19th minute Alexandru Prisecaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Horaţiu Bogrea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. FC Bujoreni's Nicodim Malcocea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bujoreni from getting a goal against them. Horaţiu Bogrea came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Bujoreni's Cornel Georgescu. But to his dismay, Cornel Georgescu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After a rather tough play, Carpeni Athletic's Nichifor Frâncu got a free kick in the 38th minute. Cornel Georgescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horaţiu Bogrea having to interfere. Alexandru Prisecaru received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Horaţiu Bogrea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Ilie Brad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half FC Bujoreni were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

After 52 played minutes FC Bujoreni got a freekick which was hit by Alexandru Prisecaru. Cornel Georgescu charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cornel Georgescu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th minute, Cornel Georgescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Cristi Corbeanu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Carpeni Athletic defense, Paul Târban kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Horaţiu Bogrea. The Carpeni Athletic fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Horaţiu Bogrea should have stopped the shot. FC Bujoreni's Nicodim Malcocea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristi Corbeanu in the 69th minute of play. FC Bujoreni's Alexandru Prisecaru got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Alexandru Prisecaru fell near the penalty area in the 81st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Bujoreni's protests and gave Alexandru Prisecaru a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Carpeni Athletic booed when FC Bujoreni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandru Prisecaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 87th minute, Carpeni Athletic's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Alexandru Prisecaru fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. With 91 minutes on the clock, Maxim Buhoiu commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. Nicodim Malcocea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristi Corbeanu in the 96th minute of play.
