Spectators: 7664 (Terracing: 5749, Seating: 1762, VIP seats: 153) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Gigel Fărcășan started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Răzvan Gherasescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristi Neagu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristi Neagu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ilie Mustățea in the 4th minute of the match. Cristi Neagu came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Ilie Mustățea. But to his dismay, Ilie Mustățea quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Virgil Neghină was a little too slow when Toader Stolniceanu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 11th minute. The score was now 1-1. In the 14th minute Costin Dobrițoiu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Neghină saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cristi Neagu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ilie Mustățea in the 15th minute of play. Gigel Fărcășan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 16th minute. Virgil Neghină tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Surda booed when Phoenix Seini -MM- was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sever Axinte didn't get a good kick on the ball. Virgil Neghină showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toader Stolniceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Cristi Avădanei kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. Doru Nicea struck a weak shot in the 27th minute. Virgil Neghină didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Surda. In the 29th minute of the match, Gigel Fărcășan got a very nice opportunity to score, but Virgil Neghină was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Virgil Neghină made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Gigel Fărcășan sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Răzvan Gherasescu in the 33rd minute of play forced Surda's goalkeeper Cristi Neagu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Toader Stolniceanu's late challenge caught a Phoenix Seini -MM-'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Toader Stolniceanu helped the player get up and apologised. In the 34th minute, Toader Stolniceanu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 38th minute, Răzvan Gherasescu made a precise shot to the right of Cristi Neagu. Surda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. Virgil Neghină was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Toader Stolniceanu capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Toader Stolniceanu really showed his touch with that goal: 2-2. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ilie Mustățea was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th minute Toader Stolniceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Neghină saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 58th minute, Toader Stolniceanu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Surda fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. Virgil Neghină showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Costin Dobrițoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. Virgil Neghină didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Toader Stolniceanu went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 5-2 was the resulting score. Cristi Neagu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ilie Mustățea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Surda's Cristi Neagu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Răzvan Gherasescu in the 76th minute of play. 79 minutes into the match, Surda's goalkeeper Cristi Neagu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ilie Mustățea. Cristi Neagu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vintilă Răuţă in the 82nd minute. In the 88th minute Toader Stolniceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Neghină saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Virgil Neghină showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Fărcășan in the 89th minute of the match. In the 90th minute Toader Stolniceanu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgil Neghină saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 92nd minute, Phoenix Seini -MM-'s Ilie Mustățea dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 5-3. With a little luck, Surda's Cristi Neagu got control of the ball when Ilie Mustățea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Surda's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
