Rapid București's Ovidiu Răica got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iacob Zgabei fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Ares having to interfere. After having played for 19 minutes, Iacob Zgabei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dezesti CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Iacob Zgabei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 26 minutes, Ilie Dridu successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After 33 played minutes, Dezesti CF's Mihăiţă Vintilescu shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Bobby Ares came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. A very good chance. 89 minutes into the match, Dezesti CF's goal looked a bit too open when Ovidiu Răica came free, but Ilie Dridu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Dezesti CF had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
