Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Avram Dănănae started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After a rather tough play, Rapid București's Stelian Tutuianu got a free kick in the 3rd minute. After 6 played minutes Rapid București got a freekick which was hit by Vali Cercelescu. The supporters of Rapid București booed when FC Bujoreni was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cornel Georgescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Lucrețiu Burghelea fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Rapid București's protests and gave Lucrețiu Burghelea a yellow card for diving instead. In the 10th minute, Lucrețiu Burghelea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bobby Ares made a fantastic save in the 16th minute, when Paul Târban sent off a good shot on target. Alexandru Prisecaru blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bobby Ares having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidiu Răica in the 28th minute of play forced FC Bujoreni's goalkeeper Nicodim Malcocea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the FC Bujoreni defense, Avram Dănănae kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Nicodim Malcocea. The FC Bujoreni fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Nicodim Malcocea should have stopped the shot. In the 34th minute Avram Dănănae shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Malcocea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nicodim Malcocea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vali Cercelescu in the 36th minute of play. After 38 minutes, Cornel Georgescu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bujoreni and the Rapid București players grew even worse after the yellow card. Avram Dănănae might have been able to make a better finish in the 39th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nicodim Malcocea. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Avram Dănănae ran back to his position shaking his head. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Emilian Madgearu during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to FC Bujoreni getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Emilian Madgearu hit a great ball. After the first half Rapid București were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paul Târban made a kick off. In the 51st minute, Ionel Bălășoiu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 52 minutes into the match, FC Bujoreni's Alexandru Prisecaru sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bobby Ares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 53 minutes into the match, FC Bujoreni's Ilie Brad sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bobby Ares narrowly saved just below the crossbar. FC Bujoreni's Nicodim Malcocea proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save FC Bujoreni from getting a goal against them. Nicodim Malcocea was a little too slow when Stelian Tutuianu got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 57th minute. The score was now 0-2. Nicodim Malcocea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Cercelescu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicodim Malcocea made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Ovidiu Răica sent off a good shot on target. Ovidiu Răica in the 64thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nicodim Malcocea, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Ilie Brad struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Bobby Ares didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Bujoreni. FC Bujoreni's Nicodim Malcocea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Avram Dănănae in the 72nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ovidiu Răica in the 83rd minute of play forced FC Bujoreni's goalkeeper Nicodim Malcocea to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nicodim Malcocea came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Rapid București's Ovidiu Răica. But to his dismay, Ovidiu Răica quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Alexandru Prisecaru fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bobby Ares having to interfere. After 91 minutes, Paul Târban mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FC Bujoreni and the Rapid București players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bobby Ares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paul Târban in the 95th minute of play. The Rapid București players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
