Spectators: 7625 (Terracing: 5798, Seating: 1777, VIP seats: 50) Eliodor Cămătaru started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. 3 minutes into the match, CFR Cluj MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Eliodor Cămătaru came free, but Cătălin Pancu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ulpiano Herbruger got free with Cătălin Pancu in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gigi Donecea hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. The supporters of CFR Cluj MZ booed when UPB FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Vali Encea didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 10th minute of the match Gigi Donecea shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Vintilă Minda showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 11th minute Eliodor Cămătaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cătălin Pancu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a little luck, CFR Cluj MZ's Cătălin Pancu got control of the ball when Ulpiano Herbruger tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 13 played minutes UPB FC got a freekick which was hit by Vali Encea. Cătălin Pancu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eliodor Cămătaru, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cătălin Pancu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ulpiano Herbruger in the 17th minute. CFR Cluj MZ's defense didn't have a chance, in the 18th minute, when Eliodor Cămătaru scored to the left of an out of position Cătălin Pancu, making the score, 1-0. With a little luck, CFR Cluj MZ's Cătălin Pancu got control of the ball when İsa Şerhenk tried to sneak it across the goal line. UPB FC's Vintilă Minda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mihnea Hăulică in the 26th minute of play. After 26 played minutes UPB FC got a freekick which was hit by Vali Encea. Vintilă Minda showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mihnea Hăulică, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. 31 minutes into the match, CFR Cluj MZ's goal looked a bit too open when Eliodor Cămătaru came free, but Cătălin Pancu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Pășcuțoiu in the 33rd minute of play forced CFR Cluj MZ's goalkeeper Cătălin Pancu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in UPB FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Gigi Donecea walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. A collision led to CFR Cluj MZ getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Mihnea Hăulică hit a great ball. Luca Colin hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. After 44 minutes of play, CFR Cluj MZ's Augustin Oprișor made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Vintilă Minda was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Virgil Pășcuțoiu in the 48th minute of play forced CFR Cluj MZ's goalkeeper Cătălin Pancu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Augustin Oprișor made the kick off in the second half. Cătălin Pancu didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ulpiano Herbruger went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Augustin Oprișor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vintilă Minda having to interfere. Cătălin Pancu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulpiano Herbruger, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cătălin Pancu came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by UPB FC's Eliodor Cămătaru. But to his dismay, Eliodor Cămătaru quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Gigi Donecea charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gigi Donecea the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 64 played minutes, UPB FC's Vali Encea shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cătălin Pancu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in UPB FC reached it. With a little luck, UPB FC's Vintilă Minda got control of the ball when Mihnea Hăulică tried to sneak it across the goal line. 67 minutes into the match, Ulpiano Herbruger had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Cătălin Pancu. CFR Cluj MZ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ulpiano Herbruger was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-1. If Vali Encea had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CFR Cluj MZ's Cătălin Pancu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Virgil Pășcuțoiu in the 74th minute of play. Cătălin Pancu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliodor Cămătaru in the 83rd minute of the match. Cătălin Pancu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from İsa Şerhenk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the CFR Cluj MZ defense, Ulpiano Herbruger kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cătălin Pancu. The CFR Cluj MZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cătălin Pancu should have stopped the shot. 93 minutes into the game, UPB FC's Ulpiano Herbruger nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cătălin Pancu made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 6-1. After some careless play in the CFR Cluj MZ defense, Eliodor Cămătaru kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cătălin Pancu. The CFR Cluj MZ fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cătălin Pancu should have stopped the shot. When the referee ended the match the UPB FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
