Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Nicodim Malcocea made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. 18 minutes into the game, Vali Encea cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Nicodim Malcocea was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 22nd minute, Eliodor Cămătaru left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The UPB FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. A collision led to UPB FC getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Vali Encea hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paul Târban in the 26th minute of play forced UPB FC's goalkeeper Vintilă Minda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paul Târban received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Vintilă Minda tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nicodim Malcocea showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eliodor Cămătaru in the 31st minute of the match. Nicodim Malcocea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ulpiano Herbruger in the 32nd minute of play. In the 34th minute the ball was on its way in behind UPB FC's goalkeeper Vintilă Minda, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Virgil Pășcuțoiu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Nicodim Malcocea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vali Encea, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicodim Malcocea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ulpiano Herbruger, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eliodor Cămătaru stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, FC Bujoreni's Nicodim Malcocea got control of the ball when Vali Encea tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nicodim Malcocea made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Ulpiano Herbruger sent off a good shot on target. In the 55th minute Eliodor Cămătaru shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicodim Malcocea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The goalkeeper, Nicodim Malcocea, was totally fooled by UPB FC's Vali Encea, who 90 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side.
