Spectators: 7713 (Terracing: 5786, Seating: 1774, VIP seats: 153) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Gigel Fărcășan got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, minerul -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Gigel Fărcășan came free, but Remus Marchiș reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Remus Marchiș took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Toader Stolniceanu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 9th match minute, minerul -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viorel Zgîrţa to maneuver through the defense. After 10 played minutes Surda got a freekick which was hit by Gigel Fărcășan. Remus Marchiș showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gigel Fărcășan in the 12th minute of the match. Cristi Neagu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Viorel Zgîrţa in the 14th minute. When Viorel Zgîrţa came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the minerul -MM- fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Viorel Zgîrţa couldn't finish the play. Valer Hăulică recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 19th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind minerul -MM-'s goalkeeper Remus Marchiș, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Viorel Zgîrţa kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th minute Gigel Fărcășan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Remus Marchiș saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Toader Stolniceanu in the 26th minute of play forced minerul -MM-'s goalkeeper Remus Marchiș to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 27th minute, Viorel Zgîrţa reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Cristi Neagu. The goal made the score 1-0. Cristi Neagu made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Viorel Zgîrţa sent off a good shot on target. Remus Marchiș made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gigel Fărcășan in the 31st minute of play. In the 35th minute, Sandu Brânzaru made a precise shot to the right of Cristi Neagu. Surda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. In the 38th minute Viorel Zgîrţa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristi Neagu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Viorel Zgîrţa hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Costel Marghescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 47th minute, Viorel Zgîrţa made a precise shot to the right of Cristi Neagu. Surda's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Viorel Zgîrţa made a kick off. In the 53rd minute, Viorel Zgîrţa left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The minerul -MM- fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-0. Cristi Neagu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Costel Marghescu in the 58th minute of the match. Viorel Zgîrţa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Cristi Neagu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Costel Marghescu in the 61st minute of play forced Surda's goalkeeper Cristi Neagu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 64th minute minerul -MM- were awarded a corner. Emanuel Petrică went to the cornerflag to take it. Ionică Harbuz kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. After having played for 69 minutes, Viorel Zgîrţa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. minerul -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Viorel Zgîrţa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Remus Marchiș showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toader Stolniceanu, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. If Viorel Zgîrţa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cristi Neagu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Viorel Zgîrţa in the 79th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Surda's zone, Costel Marghescu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristi Neagu came out of the goal and Costel Marghescu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 83 minutes into the match, Gigel Fărcășan dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Remus Marchiș, 4-1. Leontin Cartiș's late challenge caught a Surda's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leontin Cartiș helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th minute, Leontin Cartiș hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Surda's Doru Nicea shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 87th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Remus Marchiș but with some difficulty. Viorel Zgîrţa struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Cristi Neagu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for minerul -MM-. After having played for 90 minutes, Viorel Zgîrţa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. minerul -MM-'s supporters crossed their fingers, but Viorel Zgîrţa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
