After 16 minutes, Aron Patrichi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cordeni and the Tatarus players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 16 played minutes Cordeni got a freekick which was hit by Aron Patrichi. In the 19thth minute of the game Niculae Berbec who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cordeni's Corneliu Drăghici was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Sebastian Dăianu fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tatarus's protests and gave Sebastian Dăianu a yellow card for diving instead. In the 20th match minute, Tatarus was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sebastian Dăianu to maneuver through the defense. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Mihail Druță made the kick off in the second half.
