Spectators: 7483 (Terracing: 5783, Seating: 1600, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Sebastian Dăianu took the kick off in the first half of the match. After having played for 4 minutes, Sebastian Dăianu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tatarus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastian Dăianu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 9th minute, Iulian Lipan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dacian Ghițulescu during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 13th minute, Dacian Ghițulescu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 15 played minutes Tatarus got a freekick which was hit by Niculae Berbec. If Ferdinand Şumălan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 21 minutes, Niculae Luican mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the -BZF- Viitorul Buzau and the Tatarus players grew even worse after the yellow card. The goalkeeper, Vali Piţurcă, was totally fooled by Tatarus's Dacian Ghițulescu, who 22 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Ferdinand Şumălan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Francisc Chirilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudiu Negrițoiu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 27thth minute of the game Ferdinand Şumălan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Tatarus's Francisc Chirilă was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a little luck, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Vali Piţurcă got control of the ball when Niculae Berbec tried to sneak it across the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Tatarus's Panait Obregia sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vali Piţurcă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 35th minute the ball was on its way in behind -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's goalkeeper Vali Piţurcă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Iulian Lipan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute, Iulian Lipan left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The -BZF- Viitorul Buzau fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Iulian Lipan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Iulian Lipan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Iulian Lipan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Francisc Chirilă read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. In the 61st minute, Sebastian Dăianu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tatarus fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Iulian Lipan got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Iulian Lipan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Nicodim Vătăşel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Iulian Lipan got a good chance for a goal in the 85th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Tatarus's goalkeeper Francisc Chirilă, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 90 minutes into the game, Tatarus's Sebastian Dăianu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Vali Piţurcă made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Tatarus had won, even though -BZF- Viitorul Buzau had held more of the ball.
