Toader Enășoiu succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 8th playminute. Francisc Chirilă showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Toader Enășoiu, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute, Toader Enășoiu made a precise shot to the right of Francisc Chirilă. Tatarus's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-0. Adrian Bacalu charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Adrian Bacalu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Adrian Bacalu kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. If Niculae Berbec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match had gone on for 21 minutes, Călin Calciu took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Francisc Chirilă to make any attempt to save it. After 24 played minutes Racul got a freekick which was hit by Adrian Bacalu. After a defensive mix-up in Racul's zone, Sebastian Dăianu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Teodor Budișteanu came out of the goal and Sebastian Dăianu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Francisc Chirilă took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Călin Calciu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Călin Calciu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 39th minute, Panait Obregia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 40 minutes into the match, Racul's Călin Calciu sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Francisc Chirilă narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Călin Calciu made a kick off. 51 minutes into the game, Eliodor Poenaru was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tatarus's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Racul the free kick. The supporters of Racul booed when Tatarus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eliodor Poenaru didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sebastian Dăianu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teodor Budișteanu having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Călin Calciu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Francisc Chirilă was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Călin Calciu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Francisc Chirilă tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Toader Enășoiu might have been able to make a better finish in the 76th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Francisc Chirilă. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toader Enășoiu ran back to his position shaking his head. After 76 minutes, Felix Milcoveanu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tatarus and the Racul players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Tatarus getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Felix Milcoveanu hit a great ball. 80 minutes into the match, Tatarus's goal looked a bit too open when Călin Calciu came free, but Francisc Chirilă reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Racul's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastian Dăianu came free, but Teodor Budișteanu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Teodor Budișteanu made a fantastic save in the 92nd minute, when Niculae Berbec sent off a good shot on target. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Racul fans cheered their team off the field, for while Tatarus had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
