An unexpectedly hard shot by Iulian Lipan in the 20th minute of play forced Cordeni's goalkeeper Corneliu Drăghici to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Petru Pamfil notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Cordeni's Corneliu Drăghici. Corneliu Drăghici was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 29 minutes into the match, Petru Pamfil had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Corneliu Drăghici. Cordeni's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Petru Pamfil was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When Iulian Lipan fell near the penalty area in the 51st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's protests and gave Iulian Lipan a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Iulian Lipan got a free kick in the 51st minute. Petru Pamfil took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Corneliu Drăghici. Corneliu Drăghici dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-5. Ferdinand Şumălan's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Corneliu Drăghici firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 61st minute, -BZF- Viitorul Buzau's Ferdinand Şumălan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Corneliu Drăghici. Corneliu Drăghici yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-6. Corneliu Drăghici made an important save on a dangerous shot by Claudiu Negrițoiu in the 64th minute. Corneliu Drăghici made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-9. With a little luck, Cordeni's Corneliu Drăghici got control of the ball when Ferdinand Şumălan tried to sneak it across the goal line. Corneliu Drăghici made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Claudiu Negrițoiu sent off a good shot on target.
