Racul's Călin Calciu got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Racul booed when VYCTORIA BV was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrian Tomulescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. VYCTORIA BV's Lucian Voica played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Călin Calciu in the 38th minute of play. Filip Negrilă received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Teodor Budișteanu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Călin Calciu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucian Voica having to interfere. When Mihnea Plăcintă came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the VYCTORIA BV fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Mihnea Plăcintă couldn't finish the play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Călin Calciu to make the kick off. VYCTORIA BV's supporters crossed their fingers, but Filip Negrilă was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Toader Enășoiu was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 70th minute. Racul's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Mihnea Plăcintă's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teodor Budișteanu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 73rd minute of play. In the 74th minute, Adrian Bacalu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Filip Negrilă in the 89th minute of play forced Racul's goalkeeper Teodor Budișteanu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Filip Negrilă scored 1-0 in the 91st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Teodor Budișteanu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
