Mugur Zărnescu made a fantastic save in the 10th minute, when Dancho Delibozov sent off a good shot on target. In the 15th match minute, FIRE SMURD ALEXANDRIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dancho Delibozov to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, ASU Poli Timisoara's Mugur Zărnescu got control of the ball when Dancho Delibozov tried to sneak it across the goal line. A collision led to ASU Poli Timisoara getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Iacob Turdeanu hit a great ball. A long shot from Remigiusz Tylinski in the 21st minute of play was well struck, but Mugur Zărnescu made a really good save at the right post. Michal Trzemzalski could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Mugur Zărnescu made a huge save. ASU Poli Timisoara's Mugur Zărnescu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save ASU Poli Timisoara from getting a goal against them. When FIRE SMURD ALEXANDRIA's Dancho Delibozov in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Cazimir Mușat sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Seyfullah Ahad made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nistor Brătescu in the 45th minute of play. In the 47th minute, Michal Trzemzalski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Dancho Delibozov made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the game, Dancho Delibozov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Mugur Zărnescu was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 54th match minute, ASU Poli Timisoara was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tiberiu Pogea to maneuver through the defense. Mugur Zărnescu came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by FIRE SMURD ALEXANDRIA's Dancho Delibozov. But to his dismay, Dancho Delibozov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. In the 69th minute Dancho Delibozov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mugur Zărnescu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Rareș Bărbânță fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored ASU Poli Timisoara's protests and gave Rareș Bărbânță a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes ASU Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Codrin Magherescu. After some careless play in the ASU Poli Timisoara defense, Horaţiu Alecu kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mugur Zărnescu. The ASU Poli Timisoara fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mugur Zărnescu should have stopped the shot. If Eliodor Bejenaru had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 92 played minutes FIRE SMURD ALEXANDRIA got a freekick which was hit by Juliusz Marchefka. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dancho Delibozov in the 94th minute of play forced ASU Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Mugur Zărnescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. FIRE SMURD ALEXANDRIA fully deserved thier win.
