The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Virgil Teodoroiu scored 1-0 in the 3rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dacian Gurzău, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience thought a goal was coming when Virgil Teodoroiu got free with Dacian Gurzău in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. With a little luck, Paiuseni's Dacian Gurzău got control of the ball when Virgil Teodoroiu tried to sneak it across the goal line. Albin Frisk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dacian Gurzău having to interfere. Albin Frisk could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Dacian Gurzău made a huge save. After 33 minutes, Romeo Petcu mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paiuseni and the FC Super Fortuna players grew even worse after the yellow card. Romeo Petcu kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Virgil Teodoroiu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Dacian Gurzău tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Albin Frisk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Virgil Teodoroiu's late challenge caught a Paiuseni's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Virgil Teodoroiu helped the player get up and apologised. After 47 played minutes FC Super Fortuna got a freekick which was hit by Virgil Teodoroiu. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Virgil Teodoroiu to strike the kick off in the second half. Virgil Teodoroiu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dacian Gurzău having to make a save. After 52 played minutes Paiuseni got a freekick which was hit by Tudor Aldulescu. Narcis Pantelimon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Emil Tache went, in the 58th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. 64 minutes into the game, Albin Frisk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Dacian Gurzău was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Albin Frisk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 70th minute of the match Aurel Tofan sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dacian Gurzău skillfully saved the ball. Albin Frisk blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dacian Gurzău having to make a save. 75 minutes into the game, Iacob Vâlcu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Paiuseni's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Super Fortuna the free kick. A collision led to Paiuseni getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Iacob Vâlcu hit a great ball. FC Super Fortuna's Virgil Teodoroiu suffered a concussion in the 80th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Petrică Bucuță during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 81 played minutes Paiuseni got a freekick which was hit by Petrică Bucuță. In the 82nd minute Dacian Drâmbă shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dacian Gurzău saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 85 played minutes Paiuseni got a freekick which was hit by Romeo Petcu. Narcis Pantelimon made an important save on a dangerous shot by Emil Tache in the 89th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Iacob Vâlcu in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Narcis Pantelimon saved FC Super Fortuna from getting behind. Mugur Martin kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. FC Super Fortuna were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Paiuseni for a fine match.
