Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Irinel Magheran started the match with the kick off. Nistor Brătescu blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Toader Vasilian having to make a save. If Codrin Magherescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Toader Vasilian made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Nistor Brătescu sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th minute, Leontin Jităreanu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 10th minute, ASU Poli Timisoara's Iacob Turdeanu seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Iacob Turdeanu the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of ASU Poli Timisoara protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Iacob Turdeanu had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in ASU Poli Timisoara fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 9th minute. Penalty! In the 16th minute Codrin Magherescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Vasilian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nistor Brătescu scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Toader Vasilian, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a rather tough play, Prohozesti AS's Grigore Cubleșan got a free kick in the 24th minute. Nistor Brătescu struck a weak shot in the 26th minute. Toader Vasilian didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ASU Poli Timisoara. In the 28th minute, Codrin Magherescu fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Toader Vasilian, passed just outside the right post. After 28th play minutes Nistor Brătescu shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Toader Vasilian and just under the crossbar into goal. Irinel Magheran received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Mugur Zărnescu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Nistor Brătescu made a precise shot to the right of Toader Vasilian. Prohozesti AS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. The attack was good, but when Codrin Magherescu in the 39th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. The audience was convinced that Codrin Magherescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Toader Vasilian was relentless in the 41st minute of the game.

Dacian Rada lost his temper 52 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In the 51st minute, one of Prohozesti AS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Prohozesti AS. The referee gave ASU Poli Timisoara a penalty, 54 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bogdan Isbășoiu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Prohozesti AS's Toader Vasilian. 5-1. Nistor Brătescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toader Vasilian having to interfere. In the 58th minute Codrin Magherescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Vasilian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Toader Vasilian showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rareș Bărbânță in the 60th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Nistor Brătescu in the 62nd minute of play forced Prohozesti AS's goalkeeper Toader Vasilian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cazimir Mușat charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cazimir Mușat the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ASU Poli Timisoara booed when Prohozesti AS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leontin Jităreanu didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Codrin Magherescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Codrin Magherescu in the 74th minute of play forced Prohozesti AS's goalkeeper Toader Vasilian to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Leontin Jităreanu kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. In the 84th minute Codrin Magherescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Vasilian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 87 minutes into the match, ASU Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Mugur Zărnescu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiberiu Buciu. In the 92nd minute, Grigore Cubleșan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 96th minute Nistor Brătescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Toader Vasilian saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There was no doubt that ASU Poli Timisoara were the better team. ASU Poli Timisoara's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
