Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Codrin Magherescu started the match with the kick off. Mugur Zărnescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Constantin Arbore's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. The supporters of Paraschiveni AC booed when ASU Poli Timisoara was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Codrin Magherescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paraschiveni AC's Florin Boc suffered a concussion in the 7th minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. Tiberiu Pogea hit a great freekick 8 minutes into the match. Iacob Turdeanu hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Codrin Magherescu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Romeo Dobre having to interfere. The supporters of ASU Poli Timisoara booed when Paraschiveni AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Matei Dragalina didn't get a good kick on the ball. 21 minutes into the match, Paraschiveni AC's goal looked a bit too open when Codrin Magherescu came free, but Romeo Dobre reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 23 minutes of play, Paraschiveni AC's Iacob Ciuhandu made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Mugur Zărnescu was left in no man's land by his defense there! Silviu Topală scored 2-0 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mugur Zărnescu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The audience was convinced that Codrin Magherescu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeo Dobre was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. Codrin Magherescu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Romeo Dobre tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 played minutes ASU Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Remus Berceanu. A collision led to Paraschiveni AC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Gigel Astafei hit a great ball. If Nistor Brătescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Silviu Topală stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Tiberiu Pogea got his second yellow card in the match during the 53rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 54th minute, Tiberiu Pogea hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Silviu Topală managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paraschiveni AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silviu Topală was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mugur Zărnescu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 57 played minutes ASU Poli Timisoara got a freekick which was hit by Bogdan Isbășoiu. In the 60th minute, Iacob Ciuhandu left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Paraschiveni AC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Ovidiu Pantelimon kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Nistor Brătescu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ASU Poli Timisoara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nistor Brătescu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. ASU Poli Timisoara's Mugur Zărnescu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Silviu Topală in the 69th minute of play. Mugur Zărnescu came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Paraschiveni AC's Iacob Ciuhandu. But to his dismay, Iacob Ciuhandu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After having played for 75 minutes, Gigel Astafei managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Paraschiveni AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gigel Astafei was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gigel Astafei in the 77th minute of play forced ASU Poli Timisoara's goalkeeper Mugur Zărnescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mugur Zărnescu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Remus Ferenț, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Silviu Topală's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mugur Zărnescu was relentless in the 83rd minute of the game. When Paraschiveni AC's Iacob Ciuhandu in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye ASU Poli Timisoara's goalie prevented a goal. When Silviu Topală came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Paraschiveni AC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Silviu Topală couldn't finish the play. 93 minutes into the match, ASU Poli Timisoara's goal looked a bit too open when Iacob Ciuhandu came free, but Mugur Zărnescu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Paraschiveni AC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of ASU Poli Timisoara for a fine match.
