Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Straoane's Laurențiu Bobeica started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Narcis Zăvoiu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gherghita FCM's supporters crossed their fingers, but Narcis Zăvoiu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Călin Zăreanu's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 11thth minute, Marcel Calota skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. A collision led to Straoane getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. George Plopșor hit a great ball. Gherghita FCM's Costel Tincu couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 17th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Straoane. In the 19th minute, Ionuț Plop got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 27 played minutes Gherghita FCM got a freekick which was hit by Costel Tincu. Ionuț Plop fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Davidescu having to interfere. If Laurențiu Bobeica had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 36 played minutes Straoane got a freekick which was hit by Moise Teodoroiu. After a rather tough play, Straoane's Alin Hrebenciuc got a free kick in the 38th minute. A hard shot by Costel Tincu from long distance, 38 minutes into the match, got Marcel Calota's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Marcel Calota made an important save on a dangerous shot by Narcis Zăvoiu in the 42nd minute. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 56th minute, Gabriel Berbec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Călin Dumitrachescu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Straoane's Mihnea Voican got a free kick in the 58th minute. In the 61st match minute, Straoane was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Maxim Barna to maneuver through the defense. Maxim Barna charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Maxim Barna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 66th minute, Maxim Barna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 minutes of play Straoane's Maxim Barna was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Straoane getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Maxim Barna hit a great ball. Straoane's Marcel Calota played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Narcis Zăvoiu in the 74th minute of play. 82 minutes into the match, Narcis Zăvoiu notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Straoane's Marcel Calota. Marcel Calota was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Laurențiu Bobeica fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tudor Davidescu having to interfere. Ionuț Plop hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Gherghita FCM had played much better football throughout.
