The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gherghita FCM. Marin Romoşan shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Delmiro Cordearo in the 27th minute of play forced Gherghita FCM's goalkeeper Tudor Davidescu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the game, Gherghita FCM's Călin Dumitrachescu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. The supporters of Grindasi booed when Gherghita FCM was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sandu Moisescu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tudor Davidescu came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Grindasi's Delmiro Cordearo. But to his dismay, Delmiro Cordearo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. If Delmiro Cordearo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. During the 60th minute of the match Sandu Moisescu completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Sandu Moisescu a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. When Grindasi's Delmiro Cordearo in the 63rd minute got a chance for a shot 63rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
