In the 5th minute, Narcis Ciompec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 7th minute, Dorin Onuț hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Bobotesti AFC booed when FCU 1948 CRAIOVA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorin Onuț didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Avram Colceriu got free with Dinu Pânzaru in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 19th minute Narcis Ciompec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dinu Pânzaru saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Vasile Godeanu hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. Narcis Ciompec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 23rd minute. Dinu Pânzaru tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Claudiu Mirciulescu stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Martin Tănăsocă's shot from short distance in the 27th minute. 28 minutes into the game, Cosmin Bobailă was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bobotesti AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FCU 1948 CRAIOVA the free kick. In the 28th match minute, Bobotesti AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cosmin Bobailă to maneuver through the defense. Dinu Pânzaru made a fantastic save in the 30th minute, when Avram Colceriu sent off a good shot on target. 32 minutes into the match, Bobotesti AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Dorin Onuț came free, but Dinu Pânzaru reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 43rd minute, Narcis Ciompec got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, FCU 1948 CRAIOVA's Dorin Onuț got a free kick in the 45th minute. After 47 minutes, Martin Tănăsocă made it 0-1 with a short kick to the right side. FCU 1948 CRAIOVA's Claudiu Mirciulescu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Martin Tănăsocă couldn't finish the play. Avram Colceriu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dinu Pânzaru having to interfere. Ernest Tăbăcaru kicked well hit freekick during the 87th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, FCU 1948 CRAIOVA's Leontin Todoran got a free kick in the 89th minute. Vasile Godeanu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Claudiu Mirciulescu read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 92nd minute of play. Bobotesti AFC were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
